It’s snowing, and lying. We may not have experienced a white christmas but we will have a white christening.

The christening cake is finished, and is still in one piece. I must be mellowing with the advancing years!

  1. Lovely photos! I was out on the plot earlier taking some wintry shots for the entry I’ve just done.
Enjoy the rest of the day! xx

  2. You made that cake? Wow! It’s lovely.

  3. That cake is very impressive. I hope it tastes as good as it looks….

  4. I know I haven’t commented in a year but I will now because that cake is gorgeous. I thought you couldn’t decorate cakes well but that is amazing…well done Grandma.

  5. Everyone – I cheated because I didn’t make the actual cake, I bought it. I did the decoration, which I think looks more impressive than it actually is because of it’s simplicity. The figures were made out of white fondant icing and it was ‘interesting’ trying to get a flesh colour from the four basic food colourants, red, yellow, green and blue it took ages. Amy loved it, and that’s what was important.

  6. love the cake hope it was a great day

  7. lovely cake :)
