So here I am, living and working in England. Married, 3 three children all grown up and flown, 3 grandchildren and a matching due to meet us sometime in August/September. How would I describe my role? Full-time Wife, Mother, and Grandmother, part-time Midwife. No, that’s not true, make that full-time Midwife as well, it’s the sort of job that permeates your whole life, especially when you are a Community Midwife who lives on her patch.

Expect to read about my family, they are my reason for living. Midwifery, the practice and the politics, especially the politics will also feature strongly. When I read something that strikes a chord, angering, saddening or amusing me I shall vent my emotions in my little web-psychiatrist.
